  14. The xvs.library contains all the virus recognition and removal code that was
  15. formerly included in VirusZ.  This step has been taken for one major reason:
  16. VirusZ,  Virus_Checker,  Virus_Executor and all the other antivirus software
  17. can be updated quickly without releasing the whole packages every time a new
  18. virus appears.

  20. So simply install the xvs.library from this archive to your LIBS:  drawer to
  21. get 100% protection against the latest viruses.

  23. To be able to check if the library in this archive really came straight from
  24. one  of  the  authors, you can use the public key with the .sig files in the
  25. archive.  If you are not sure or do not trust the included key, then you can
  26. always  request  the  original  straight from one of us (by email) or get it
  27. from the VHT-Denmark homepage.

  44.     - Just had to fix two problems with the security code:
  45.       a. Timing has been improved to avoid interference with some music
  46.          software. Thanks to Paracels/PCB for the report and testing.
  47.       b. Expunge of library caused access to deallocated memory in some
  48.          rare cases. Thanks to Mikolaj Calusinski for the report and
  49.          the excessive beta-testing ;)
  50.     - Fixed (hopefully all) MuGuardianAngel hits in the SurveyMemory()
  51.       routine. If anyone detects some more, please send me the logs.
  52.       Thanks to Thomas Richter for his suggestions about mmu.library,
  53.       but I finally found an other solution. And thanks to Sensei for
  54.       reporting all his hits.
  55.     - Improved speed of SurveyMemory() drastically by skipping similar
  56.       recognition routines in just one step if their common requirements
  57.       are not available.
